After my post about taking up space, this may seem counterintuitive. But, I don't mean the kind of invisible in the sense that I don't exist. More like a fly on the wall.
People have always fascinated me since I was young. All made up of the same core hardware and yet every single one of us so different, each their own being. Neurons in each brain firing differently creating a mesh of diversity in thoughts, emotion, personality.
Yet, society constantly demands us to conform. It wants each entity thinking the same, doing the same, adhering to the rules. A set of unwritten regulations enforced by the need to be accepted. And we tend to give into them- morphing ourselves into people we're not to satisfy a societal norm that someone created eons ago. Stomping out our individuality worried it may scare others off. Never fully releasing our authentic selves. Pushed down in the depths of the subconscious- trapped, fearing to be truly seen.
What I'd give to be an imperceptible onlooker. A silent observer on the wall watching the realness of what happens behind closed doors- a glimpse of true humanity.
When you're safe from the backlash of breaking the norms....just a snippet of who you are when no one is watching.

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?
This post felt like staring into a mirror that only shows the parts we hide. Wanting to be invisible isn’t strange—it’s just the soul’s way of saying, “I want to understand, not interrupt.”
People are like books with secret chapters. Most of the time, they only show the cover and maybe a few safe pages. But when no one’s watching, the real story comes out—and that’s the part I wish the world would read more often.
You made me think: maybe we don’t want invisibility to disappear. We want it to see. Quietly, gently, without making the subject feel cold or small. Like the wind reading the trees without bending them.
Ahhh you said this PERFECTLY! My writers block was getting the best of me this morning- this is exactly what I was trying to convey. This is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing! ❤
