couch
TV blaring in the background
raindrops clinging to windows
creating bubbled artwork across
glass canvases
Pelting down
rhythmic dripping
heart beat aligning
waves of calm
floating up
heavy limbs
Dormant for a day
while it is all
washed away
Until the sun
decides to conquer the clouds
once again

Yes, it’s amazing! As soon as the sun peeks out I’m a new person. And yes, I agree- rainy days are the BEST writing days ❤
Agreed. However, I am an Alaskan, and if I took rain days and snow days off, I would only leave the house a few times a year!
Hahaha this is very true! I feel that way during the New England winters too- can’t enjoy being cozy every day though I would love to!
